An annulment meeting is a pastoral meeting with an individual who is seeking information and guidance about the Catholic Church’s annulment process. The meeting provides an opportunity to listen to their personal circumstances, explain the purpose and process of an annulment, answer questions, and discuss the appropriate next steps.

The meeting entails:

-Listening to the individual’s marriage history and circumstances.
-Explaining what an annulment is and what it is not.
-Reviewing the general annulment process.
-Identifying documents and information that may be needed.
-Explaining the role of the diocesan Tribunal.
-Addressing questions or concerns about the process.
-Determining appropriate next steps and referrals, if necessary.

The meeting is informational and pastoral and does not guarantee or predetermine the outcome of an annulment case.
